Why a data preparedness organisation?
With an emphasis on the local organisations, who are the first responders, we focus on having data ready before the occurrence of a disaster, thereby saving lives through preparedness and efficient response.
LOCAL
Localising humanitarian response is a process of recognising, respecting and strengthening the leadership by local authorities and the capacity of local civil society in humanitarian action, in order to better address the needs of affected populations and to prepare national actors for future humanitarian responses.

DATA
At the start of 2021, we estimate that just 51 percent of relevant, complete crisis data is available across 27 humanitarian operations.

PREPAREDNESS
Investment in disaster prevention and preparedness is less than 6% of the total humanitarian aid budget despite several studies proving the cost-effectiveness of humanitarian prevention.
